Hand Lay-up |
|
The hand lay-up method of producing glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) grates is a wet lamination process in a moulding tool followed by subsequent annealing. The reinforcement is made up of glass-fibre rovings that are incorporated in alternating overlaid layers into a matrix made of resin. After the matrix has cross-linked, the product is removed from the mould using an ejector pin and then deburred.
